Custom signs painted, fabricated and installed for Jim Beam at their historic Clermont, Kentucky distillery. Right Way Signs of Chicago worked with London based Love Creative with their designs and vision to add dynamic and throughout signage throughout the property. We helped engineer a formed face ribbon to give the signage a “wax” look, taking that design to fabrication and installing it on multiple buildings throughout the property. Other work included painting signage on multiple buildings, and fully wrapping a tank with the Jim Beam logo.
65,000 sq/ft hand painted logo we did for a warehouse in Southern California for Link Logistics. The Right Way Signs crew traveled to Southern California to complete this large roof logo, all done in house delivering the ultimate control over the project and keeping it within budget for the client.

Custom hand painted 56′ Buc-ee’s mascot on a roof at one of their newest locations in Kentucky. This painted roof logo was hand painted by Right Way Signs of Chicago, a leader in custom roof logos and roof branding in the United States.
Right Way Signs was contracted to hand paint a 65,000 sq/ft logo with built in QR code for the Hy-Vee Supermarket in Des Moines, Iowa right across the street from the Des Moines International Airport. Laid out and hand painted over the course of 4 weeks, the Right Way Signs hand painted the logo and artwork on this roof top that will be highly visible from both departures and arrivals at the airport.

Project Right Way Signs of Chicago recently completed for Whole Foods in Vernon Hills. This exterior hand painted mural can be found at the Melody Farms development at Townline Road and Milwaukee Ave.
In early 2016, Wrigley Field was in the beginning stages of a massive renovation to bring the 100+ year old ball park into the 21st century, but also preserve its heritage and roots as one of the oldest and most historic baseball parks in the United States. Right Way Signs was approached to bid on the hand painted mural portion of the renovation in the bleachers, painting 11 in total and also winning the bid to build a fake ivy wall for photo opportunities and a Cubs Hall of Fame wall honoring some the Chicago Cubs most beloved players.
To date, this is one of our most favorite projects not just because the Cubs won the world series, but we hope that our work remains apart of the ballpark for another 11 years and sees a handful more World Series championships won.
Right Way Signs of Chicago was hired by the Mellody Farm development in Vernon Hills to design, fabricate and install QTY 2 custom pylon signs. These signs were designed to pay tribute to the heritage of the farms that use to occupy the land the development sits on, featuring a “patchwork” metal and corrugated metal paneling, painted red and distressed to give it an aged look. Although there is LED lighting on the interior of the sign to illuminate the tenant panels, the main feature is the hand bent custom neon for the MELLODY FARM headers on both sides of the signs. Right Way Signs also assisted in obtaining the village approval and securing the sign permits.

Custom hand painted Goose Island Beer Company logo for their new office space west of the Fulton Market. Hand painted in a distressed style on brick, this logo was meant to look like it it had been hand painted on the all 40 plus years ago.
We worked on ghost signs for multiple Mod Pizza locations throughout the midwest. This “Super Fast” hand painted ghost sign on brick is one of our favorites.
Dollop Coffee Co. is one of the fastest growing local coffee shops in Chicago,. With 9 locations and many more in the works, they have partnered with Right Way for all of their interior and exterior sign needs. Dollop has a large focus on design, incorporating many different sign types into each space with a large focus on sign painting, murals and hand painted graphics. We have also produced marquee light signs for a handful of locations that help get the attention of outside foot and vehicle traffic.
The Boka Restaurant Group hired us to help them with their interior and exterior signage needs at Duck Duck Goat. The one sign that gets the most attention is their “Take-Out” window neon sign, which won first place at Illinois Sign Association 2017 Award ceremony for the exposed neon category. Designed by AvroKO, this was one of our favorite project of 2016.
We are passionate about our coffee and passionate about signs, so working with Starbucks was a natural fit. We have completed over 250 projects for them in 2 years across the country, from sign painting, to mural work to art installations, we are very proud of the amount of work we have done for them in such a little time.
Custom signs made for the new Chicago start-up Ezza Nails. Their first of many locations is downtown off Michigan Ave and their attention to detail throughout their space included a handful of very custom made signs from Right Way. The main exterior sign and interior reception letters were painted in their company color in a high gloss to give the look and feel of nail polish. Finally Right Way produced and installed various vinyl products throughout their space and on their windows.
Custom sign we fabricated for Revial Food Hall in the Chicago loop. This very custom sign has front and edge lit formed acrylic, mounted to a custom frame we fabricated and welded in our shop, designed to suspend from the ceiling in the front window of this massive food hall.
Custom sign painting work for Great Central Brewing Co. in the West Fulton Market. Right Way Signs of Chicago has been working with a lot of craft beer and brewery companies throughout Chicago and the US over the last five years. Great Central Brewing is another great company to have done work for and had an appreciation for the craft of hand painted signs and sign painting.
The Chicago office for Sphera Solutions reached out to our company to assist in designing, printing, fabricating and installing new office signs for a space they took over in the loop. The signage package included 3D reception signage for their Chicago office and other office locations all over the US, wall wraps printed using our large format printer, etched window graphics for their conference rooms and office entry, acrylic signs installed using stand-offs and laser cut PVC letters.
Bob Gally, a Chicago-based photographer who does incredible work approached us about designing, permitting, fabricating and installing a sign that would help get him noticed. His new storefront in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago had a lot of foot and vehicle traffic, so he wanted something that could help get him noticed. Mission accomplished, as one of his clients said “your name is in lights” and its helped him drive new traffic through his doors.
Right Way Signs of Chicago had the pleasure of working on this large sign painting and mural project right outside the Fulton Market in Chicago. The project took started in January of 2015 with Right Way painting the yellow background color. From there, we worked with their designer out of New York who took this design inspiration from the auto mechanic shops and their exterior sign designs, many of which was freestyle sign painting and hand lettering. Besides the hand lettering portion of this project, there was a photo of “Lou” that we needed to paint and make it look as real and authentic as possible. Our resident mural artist Chester did a remarkable job painting his photo at massive scale.
Right Way Signs of Chicago has had the pleasure of working on projects for Lagunitas every since they opened their brewery in Chicago back in 2014. Projects include interior and exterior sign painting and mural projects, including a 20′ hand painted dog.
One of our largest project to date, Right Way Signs of Chicago was awarded the contract for all interior and exterior signage at Goose Island Brewery’s new brewery tour experience at 1800 W. Fulton. The project included both exterior and interior signage focusing mainly on sign painting and custom mural work. The exterior work most notably focuses on big logo imagery, typography, reclaimed wood and metal, pulling in the feel of an old warehouse with the painting work having a “distressed” feel as if it was painted over 50 years ago. The Tap Room, where the tour begins and ends, has many different sign types. The “Lake Michigan” wall is made of reclaimed wood and has custom illustrations that the Right Way team hand painted in detail.
Ezza Nails wanted their tagline “touch as nails” made into a custom neon sign which that serves as a photo opportunity for their clients, Right Way fabricated and installed this great custom sign.

Metric Coffee reached out to us about a sign painting project for their shop/facility right off Damen on Fulton. We had the honor doing two sign painting projects and then working on a very custom LED light box sign with the simple message “COFFEE” on both sides. TO give it a personal touch, we routed the face of their sign with their company name. This project contained two sign painting projects, one on glass and the other on brick and an LED sign cabinet with lettering on three sides.

Reverb.com, located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, is the online marketplace for musicians to buy, sell and learn about new, used, vintage and handmade music gear. Reverb reached out to Right Way Signs of Chicago to help bring their amazing designs to life throughout their space on Lincoln Ave. Right Way printed custom interior wall wraps, custom vinyl window graphics, and custom conference room decals. Reverb’s office was featured as one of Crain’s Chicago Business 2017 Coolest Offices, with Right Way’s custom vinyl work being featured in a few of the published photos.
A sign painting project we did for Ashland Addison Florists location in the West Fulton Market in Chicago, Illinois. Our lead sign painter Ches Perry painted the company name directly onto their brick façade.
Ella Elli is a project in which we fabricated halo lit, pin mounted lettering and installed them on a metal awning outside their restaurant located just off of Southport.

Connecting with the very talented design firm Bark Design in Chicago, we had the honor of fabricating and installing this multi-faceted sign project at the After School Matters, a program designed by the late Maggie Daley, wife of former Mayo Richard J. Daley, in 1991 to develop cultural activities for the city’s teenagers. The new signage was for the Michael and Kayrn Lutz Center, a state-of-the-art center that focuses on tech, dance, art and more. The majority of the project was a creative and colorful approach to ADA compliant signage with braille. The materials used was anon glare acrylic with polished edges, raised copy and braille and various colors to identify floors and rooms.
Clever Rabbit in Wicker park reached out to Right Way Signs of Chicago to explore various sign options for their exterior. The new signage they selected was a double sided illuminated blade sign with their rabbit icon. The second sign type they selected was non-illuminated pin mounted lettering that read “clever rabbit” in white 1/4″ aluminum installed n their black wood panel facade. Right Way Signs was handled the entire project from fabrication, permitting to the installation of this project.
Lansing Brewing Company in Lansing, Michigan contacted after seeing the sign painting and sign work we did locally for Goose Island Brewing Co.
Wanting to re-store the character of a 100 year old brewery, Right Way Signs of Chicago was hired to paint logos and artwork on the exterior and interior of the building. We also helped create the exterior sign work of the building, custom wood signs, digitally printed acrylic biography signs, and a marquee light bulb sign for the retail corner of the brewery.
Lansing Brewing Co. won a handful of 2016 ADDY awards for the brand design, including Silver for Brand Integration.
Radio Flyer is an iconic American company that started in Chicago in 1917 and 100 years later, we had the honor and privilege of hand lettering one of their old fashioned vehicles last month. Our goal was to take their design and help make it as authentic as possible, giving it a human touch from a sign painter just like you would have seen if you were alive to see the real thing back in the early 1900s. Ches Perry, Right Way’s lead sign painter, took two days to work on this project.
Heritage Bicycles, located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago specializes in custom handmade bicycles all within a coffee shop. Their brand is unique and everything about their retail store has an old fashioned, handmade look and feel. Right Way Signs was brought in to help with the design and painting of a custom piece for their exterior wall in addition to a few windows with custom gold leaf lettering and a blade sign.
The Flower Firm located west of the Fulton Market District in Chicago approached us to sign paint their logo on their building and give it a distressed look to give the impression they had been in that building for 40 plus years, when in fact they had recently moved in.
We have painted some big signs throughout our 47 years of sign painting and and sign making, but the Duke Realty logo project is our largest to date. This logo, measuring at 190,000 sq/ft was painted by our own Ches Perry over the course of 4 weeks. Located in Atlanta, GA, this project is aimed at grabbing the attention of flights coming into the airport. The impressive thing about this project is that Ches mapped this all out by hand before painting it, no stencils were used.
We hand painted this custom logo at the Merchandise Mart showroom for Watson. The surface to be painted was a rough brick, so it was fitting to do a distressed painting to resemble a weathered / ghost sign that looked like it was painted by a sign painter decades decades ago.

Coco Champagne Lounge in the River North neighborhood in Chicago was looking for a high end sign that would get attention an tie in with the look and feel of their brand and space. Right Way Signs was hired to sandblast a 4’x16′ custom cedar wood sign with dimensional lettering with real silver leaf and 23k gold leaf, which was hand gilded.
The Jefferson Tap project was one of our favorites in 2014. For this project located right outside of the downtown Chicago area, we prepped and painted the entire facade of the building first. From there we painted their new logo and artwork in which Right Way Signs designed. In the end we gave this great building and establishment a lot more character with a sign painters touch.
Bom Bolla, located in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago was a fun project because it included a multiple sign types along side some great illustrations by design agency TrueStory. We started with exterior, hand painting their logo on the facade. On the windows we used vinyl graphics for the logo in each window. For the interior we did hand painted murals of Debbie Harry wearing a Popeye t-shirt and Mick Jones of The Clash on tile in the front and rear of the restaurant. We also did two exterior LED light box signs and etched window vinyl graphics.
We were hired to paint this massive logo for Big Blue Swim School on their wall in Buffalo Grove, IL. This hand painted logo was painted by Right Way sign painter Ches Perry, who has 48 years of sign painting experience.
Looking for ways to promote their new dental practice, Sweet Tooth Dental reached out to us to help design, fabricate, install and permit their new signage. The project consisted of an internally illuminated LED blade sign (projecting) and a 3D logo sign for the interior reception area that won first place from the Illinois Sign Association in the Illuminated & Non-Illuminated Letters category. The interior sign consisted of 4 different types of laser cut metals to bring a unique sign to their space.
We had the absolute privilege of working with creative and design team at Ogilvy Chicago to help with the design and fabrication of a new sign for Ernst Hemingway’s birthplace in Oak Park, IL. As a result, we got to fabricate a really cool sign made from High Density Urethane on our CNC machine with the main copy have beveled edges, recessed sub copy in an off white sign paint and hand gold leaf applied to the main copy. We re-located the sign on the property so it would get more attention and help drive more visitors through their door to visit this historic house.
Fairgrounds Coffee is a new coffee experience that celebrates choice, offering a selection of the best coffee roasters nationwide in one coffee shop. For this project we were commissioned to create custom wood menus with engraved lettering, 3D lettering and vinyl copy for an easy way to change the content and pricing of the menu. Honey Butter Fried Chicken contacted us to had paint their logo on the exterior of their building along with a few other illustrations. Another part of the project was digitally printed graphics for an existing light box sign that projected over the sidewalk.
Eisenmann Engineering in Crystal Lake, IL contacted us to help them with a new sign for their reception area. Wanting something a little different, we suggested an LED Edge Lit logo sign, individual letters flush mounted to the wall for a clean and unique look. Along with this, we produced vinyl graphics to add more character to their office when employees and clients arrive.
